Operational Context:

• WFP Mauritania is operating at acute financial stress at the peak of the June–September 2026 lean season. With only 35% of the July–December 2026 six-month net funding requirement (USD 36.54M) secured, the USD 18.7M shortfall is forcing triage between cash-based transfers and in-kind distributions to refugees and host communities.^[1]
