Executive Summary

Operational Context:

• Nigeria is at acute lean-season peak. The June 2026 Cadre Harmonisé projects 36.3 million people at CH Phase 3+ across assessed states — an 18.5% increase versus the same period in 2025 — with 2.1 million at Phase 4 (Emergency) and 10,277 individuals in Borno State (Bama, Damboa, Gwoza, Monguno) at Catastrophe-level conditions; northern Nigeria is flagged as a Hunger Hotspot of highest concern with CH Phase 5 risk.^[1,2]
